About the Foundation

“Your Foundation has devoted itself to support character and values-based programs and training, to support the development and training of role models and mentors, and to making leadership and scholarship central to the undergraduate experience. We believe the pursuit of the resources to develop values-based leaders is a noble calling.”
Greg Harbaugh, PURDUE 1978
Sigma Chi Foundation President and CEO

Mission

The Sigma Chi Foundation solicits financial resources, provides faithful stewardship, and engages in exemplary ethical practices in support of Sigma Chi and leadership development.

Vision

The Sigma Chi Foundation is respected for the manner in which we establish expectations, and build and administer an endowment that supports leadership and scholarship programs that reach beyond Sigma Chi’s borders, in perpetuity.

The Sigma Chi Foundation is a charitable and educational tax-exempt organization, separate and independent from the Fraternity, whose express purpose is to serve as an educational funding resource for the undergraduate and graduate student members of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Through leadership initiatives such as Horizons, the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, and the Cornerstone Mentor Program, the Sigma Chi Foundation is preparing our young men to be the value-centered leaders to guide us in the 21st century.

An 18 member Board of Governors, headed by Chairman Chuck Watson and Vice Chairman Timothy A. Michael, guide the Foundation. Foundation President and CEO, Gregory J. Harbaugh, is the Foundation's executive officer based at Peterson International Headquarters in Evanston, Ill.
