Originally an east coast native, Matt was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Kent State University in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management with minors in business, management, and event planning. As an undergraduate, Matt held various positions within the Zeta Lambda chapter including chapter editor, social chairman, public relations chairman, and two-time recruitment chairman. Matt joined the headquarters team in July 2016, immediately after graduation.
While at KSU, Matt served on the Interfraternity Council as the Vice President of Retention & Recruitment as well as a peer leader for numerous leadership programs. Matt is an avid Baltimore sports fan and enjoys attending concerts, watching movies, and cooking in his spare time. He looks forward to working with undergraduate chapters to continue developing values-based leadership skills while strengthening brotherhood.
The Chapter Support Coordinator works within the Chapter Support Team to provide an added level of guidance to the undergraduate chapters of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Success in this position requires well-developed skills in organization, communication, time-management, and the ability to work synergistically with a large number of volunteers and staff members. This position also requires the ability to quickly develop working relationships with various staff, university professionals, undergraduates and alumni to accomplish the goals of the Chapter Support Team. A team oriented mindset and motivation is essential to working as part of the Chapter Support Team and as a member of the Sigma Chi Headquarters Staff.
