International Balfour Award Finalists Announced

The Fraternity’s most outstanding graduating senior will be announced Aug. 2 at Balfour LTW.


The Sigma Chi International Fraternity Headquarters has announced the finalists for the International Balfour Award, which recognizes the Fraternity’s most outstanding graduating senior based on his scholastics, as well as campus and community involvement and his involvement within Sigma Chi. The winner will be selected and announced Aug. 2 at the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.

The candidates are Adrian Avila, NEW MEXICO 2014; Connor Davis, OKLAHOMA STATE 2014; Grady Hepworth, IDAHO 2014; and Alexander Wade, KENTUCKY 2014.

Established in 1930 and named for 29th Grand Consul L. G. Balfour, INDIANA 1907, the International Balfour Award has been conferred upon such noted alumni as Jon Huntsman, PENNSYLVANIA 1959, and Merlin Olsen, UTAH STATE 1962, both of whom are Order of Constantine Sigs and Significant Sigs. By tradition, the award’s two most recent winners serve on Sigma Chi’s board of directors, the Executive Committee.
